If you are just beginning I can bring along a simple project for machine or hand sewing. Let me know if you need to borrow a machine or if you want to learn more about using yours bring it along.

Then English Paper Piecing (EPP) could well be the perfect hobby for you!
It's just you the needle and thread and fabric...no expensive equipment needed...completely portable so perfect if you do a lot of travelling or waiting around...maybe for appointments...In these 6 sessions I will teach you the techniques to make different styles of hand sewn blocks to make a sampler quilt for your wall. We will use a quilting method that makes it easy to enlarge if you want and also easy on the hands and shoulders
Please bring a basic sewing kit (pins ,scissors thread, needles)

SEASONS IN STITCH QUILT PROJECT
Unlike a regular block of the month this quilt-as-you-go project is aimed at inspiring you to try lots of different techniques for applique, decorative stitching and quilting.
The course consists of 15 full video tutorials in which I take you on my creative journey , whilst teaching you how to get the most from your machine and it's stitches. This project has no time constrictions...you sew when you want and take as long as you like so it's the perfect one for dipping in and out of. There is a private Facebook group for sharing progress, ideas and support and the results have been really inspiring and ...best of all...fun! So if you need a bit of stitching inspo or feel you're not making the most of your machines capabilities this could be the ideal project.
ONLINE CLASSES
I teach many technique and machine classes online over Zoom...ideal if you have a larger machine with lots of bells and whistles that is just too heavy to haul to a workshop!
Or perhaps find it difficult to get to an actual class or group near you.
The beauty of these classes is they are also recorded so most watch on the day and ask questions and then can sew along to the recording at their own pace. There is no time limit on the recording and if you miss the actual class you can catch up and email me about any questions afterwards.
What was a necessary method of teaching during lockdown has actually proved to be far more effective and fun than I ever thought possible and most classes have quilters and sewists from all over.
